grandfather clock

the grandfather clock is almost 80 years-old.
i have no idea who owns it when it was young.
it is a product of seiko and made in japan.

i remember my grandmother's place has a striking clock of this kind.
but the sound was rather haunting.
maybe something wrong with the mechanics or anything.
the noise did not affect her much because she could hardly hear.
her clock was not always accurate.
sometimes, it was faster; sometimes, it was slower.
so, everyday, she checked the time from the electronic clock
then, she put the arms of the clock to the right time.
i don't know why i have this vivid image of her fixing the arms everyday.

this clock brings a lot of memories.
it was fixed to the living room's wall.
for unknown reasons, i find it enjoyable to look at the swinging pendulum and to hear its tick tock noise.
